Milestones

This was a big week for us and Blake and Evelyn had some important milestones

Blake: First really big smiles and went swimming for the first time as well and loved it - I guess he is really one of us

Evelyn: Swam with water wings and got invited to wear big girl underwear to school since she is doing so well on the potty...if only the rest of the world had little potties. 

French Lick Getaway

We had a great time in French Lick this week (even though Evelyn got sick with fever...not pictured).  We swam, played on the porch and playground, and had an all around great time.  We were so glad grandma could come with us to help out and enjoy French Lick as well.

Happy Mother's Day

We had a great picnic with Grandma and the W side yesterday and then had a great brunch with Nana and the A side today, afterwards we had fun trying to take some good family pictures.

I Wanna Go to the Party, I Wanna Ride the Elevator

I had my 1st visit to a big amusement park this weekend and from the parking lot I couldn't quite tell what it was so I said - 'I wanna go the party, I wanna ride the elevator'.  Little did I know it was way better than a party and an elevator.  I didn't want to leave, at all, ever.

A Love Note to Evelyn

Last week was young child appreciation week at school and all the teachers had parents write love letters to their children.

Mom + Dad love your joy at starting each day.  We are thankful for your excitement and helpfulness with your baby brother Blake.  Your energy and activity level continue to amaze us daily.  We love when you break into song at any moment.  We love how well you are learning to talk and we can't wait to have more conversations with you in the future. You are such a loving child - always asking about your family when they are not around and then always giving everyone a hug and a kiss as you say goodbye. 

We love you very much our wonderful child.
